Life is full of choices, and every choice has different consequences or “roads” it will take us down. Many times we have to stop and consider if the path or road we’re on is taking us where we want to go. The good news is, when we find ourselves headed in the wrong direction, all we have to do is turn around or make a U-turn. A “U-turn” is when a person turns to God for forgiveness instead of continuing down the same road.

It’s when you realize you can’t make it on your own so you turn to God for help. A lot of people think they can earn their way to heaven but even Jesus said very clearly there is only one way.

“I am the way,
the truth,
and the life:
no man comes
to the father
but by me.”

-John 14:6

These words were spoken specifically by Jesus Christ.
He made it very clear the only way to heaven was by a personal relationship with Him. You can’t earn it by going to church, pretending to be a Christian, or doing good things.
If this is you then you’re headed the wrongway.

You need to stop.
Stop trying to do it on your own terms. Stop trying to earn God’s favor. Turn to Jesus for forgiveness and strength to live for him. That’s what being a Christian is all about, and that’s what “One Way” Youth Ministry is all about. So, be real and be ready!
